Kevlar Sails
Kevlar sails are less than 5% more expensive than the Pendex ones.

But they last (keep the same shape) 50% more and stretch 6 times less!!!

Every logical being will ask himself why doesn't the class allow kevlar fiber for sails. The sail is much more cost effective than any other fiber! In other words we buy at almost the same price a sail that lasts much longer! (according to one sailmaker a pentex light jib costs at around 1008 euros whereas the kevlar one costs 1050. That's 4.1% more.)

Plus the class looks cooler!

What do you think?

Re: Kevlar Sails
I think you are absolutely right, the price is in the making and material is just a minor part.

And when are they are going to change the height of the spinakerpole hook on the mast, it's way to low and looks very stupid and is slow.
