MODUS VIVENDI-3ALFA AND CARPANTXO SHARE THE TRIUMPH IN THE THIRD DAY

The Greek team “Modus Vivendi 3 Alfa” of Kostas Karageorgiou with Takis Mantis at the helm, is leading again the 2010 Platu 25 World Championship that is taking place in Alicante (18-24^th July). The Greeks, after seven races and three exiting days, confirmed their talent and their prestigious curriculum - World Champions in 2008 and Silver in 2009 - with a first place in the first race of today, showing all their determination in defending their position.

The second place is for “Carpanxto” with the two times IMS670 World Champion Jesus Pintos at the helm and Paco Sánchez as a tactic. Yesterday they managed very well, conquering a first place in the second race and coming back on the podium that they lose the day before. “La Revoltosa” of A. Rodger maintains the third place followed by two other Spanish boats: “The Collection Coppel Dental” of A. Mella and “Fermax” of Maestre that carries on earning positions.

Just the German boat “Flexi” of of Bogdhan, with Niklas Ganssauge at the helm - one of the best boats in the Platu 25 German Championship - is interrupting the Spanish dominion. After a not very brilliant second day, “Flexi” is recovering in this third day conquering a good sixth place. From the 7th to the 11^th positions all the list is red and yellow colored .

As Jean Böttcher, Trimmer Spi on Flexy said: “ Today we made an 8^th and a 6^thplace. So now we are 6^th in the general ranking list. Our secret is the good coordination in our team, we are very concentrated. The experience touch that you don’t obtain anything with the tension and that the best results arrive when a team work quite and relaxed. For tomorrow I hope more wind. Not because I think that with more wind should be easier for us but just because it is more amusing”.

For the Spanish “Bribon Movistar” of Josep Cusì, with at the helm Marc de Antonio, the day started bad. After a protest with the Swiss boat “Aramis” of the brothers Sigrist, the boat of the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona paid off a DSQ in the first race of yesterday, moving back from the 8^th to the 10th position. On the contrary, today “Pix 1 Anna Mora” of O. Bou had a very good performance with a brilliant third place in the second race, that values an eleventh position in the provisional ranking list.

Yesterday was a great day also for the Italian crew “Brera Hotels” of Emanuele Vitrano and Alberto Wolleb with Sandro Montefusco at the helm who placed a brilliant second in the second races. Now they are in 12^th position with good chance to improve their performance.

Great satisfaction also for the Swiss Caña SuperbusI of M. Bermejo (22th in the general ranking list). As .Erich Buholzer confirmed: “Yesterday we gained a fourth place in the first race. We are very happy because we solved some problems that until now didn’t allow us to show our potential. We made a change to the boat and we are going to apply it again in the next races”.

Today 3 races scheduled. And there will be a strong competition between “Modus Vivendi 3Alfa” that leads the provisional general ranking list with 21 score and Carpantxo, nearer and nearer, with 28 score. With 7 pints of difference everything can happen again.

10.- Bribón-Movistar (España) 16+7+9+DSQ (67)+3+24+10 = 65 puntos
