November 16, 2017

Latvia has been officially appointed by International Platu Class Association to host 2018 Platu 25 World Championship and Latvian Sailing Union has accepted the honourable nomination. The technical organisation has been delegated to Latvian Platu 25 Class association and Latvian Sailing Team.

The Championship will be held starting from August 18 to August 26 at RIGA SPORT SAILING CENTRE at Matrozu str., Kipsala island, Riga. RSSC is the brand-new Latvian base for Platu 25 Class yachts and Latvian Platu 25 Class association.

The races will be run in the Bay of Riga and in river Daugava, near Vansu Bridge, which will provide great conditions for tight racing as well as a spectacular view for tourists and inhabitants of Riga.

The Organising Authority invites you to follow the www.platuworlds2018.com web-page for the latest news, which will follow shortly.
